    A Low-Cost Ultra-Wideband Test-Bed

    This paper presents the design and implementation of a simple transceiver test-bed for implementing and testing algorithms for impulsive UWB applications. The platform has been developed using low-cost off-the-shelf components. We have conceived a simple modular architecture that was targeted to low power, short-range applications. The test-bed is discussed,commenting on the main design decisions and the benefits of the chosen architecture. Measurements of some blocks of the system are also presented.Fil: Altieri, Andrés Oscar.     Research and development of algorithms for processing Impulse Radio Ultra-Wideband signals is a trending issue within remote sensing applications, personal area networks, and RF imaging among other areas. We have designed a SoC-based platform, conceived for scientific experimentation, with a fully modular and configurable design. Built with off-the-shelf components, our design achieves a configurable UWB-capable sampling rate through an equivalent-time sampling scheme.     A low-cost ultra-wideband test-bed for dielectric target detection

    This work presents a low-cost Ultra-Wideband (UWB) test-bed for impulse radio communications and sensing. The design was conceived for generic algorithm implementation and testing over a modular and simple architecture. The hardware design is based on commercially available components and is capable of achieving a 1 GHz bandwidth with a central frequency of 4.2525 GHz.
